Just curious, does dodging Nam and doing a bunch of coke count as serving?
Thedge - October 15, 2014, 12:46 am
That sir, is a sad part of the American plight. A president on the wrong side. I was afraid when the people elected a man to be chief that had never served. Am not disappointed in him so much as the people that put him there. Stupidity.

LIE MUCH? - Sorry, but I'm having a tough time believing Ann & Mitt Romney do their own chores and shop at Costco.

What did Cotton mean by his comment that Iran has “control” of its own capital in its drive for regional dominance? Sorry, but the Republican Senator just went full-[see politifake poster#73832] X-p

Cotton - "Moreover we have to stand up to Iran’s attempts to drive for regional dominance. They already control Tehran increasingly they control Damascus and Beirut and Baghdad and now Sana’a as well."
calron - March 15, 2015, 10:27 pm
I looked it up to see if he is really that dumb, and was surprised to find there is also a Tehran Province in addition to the capital of Iran.

Factoid: A Gmail account would have been better. They archive everything for you. This is part of the reason why many members of congress use Gmail.

...Cotton is not special needs. And it's not like I used a picture of a special needs person to make fun of the Senator. So, for me, it's just edgy politically incorrect humor. After all the Obama Hitler memes,I figure everyone is desentized enough 4 this

Remember that complaint you had about an overtly politically correct culture? Sometimes I don't know how to feel about this kind of humor too, then I see "Tropic Thunder" (remember Stiller's Happy Jack character?) and then I shake off my ego on it...

Kerry jumped into the pro-Sandanista pool himself in 1985, when he traveled to Nicaragua to negotiate with the regime. He wasn’t alone; Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) joined him.

Two wrongs? What about T. Kennedy enlisting the aid of Russia to secure his election?
fauxnews - March 17, 2015, 1:23 am
Agreed. Pelosi was awful too. But you just got defending Cotton balls in #73854. So are you saying two wrongs make a right? Or it's OK for a Republican to do it, but it's BAD for a Democrat to do it? #potkettlemoment

Nope, the evidence was given in the article separate from their word. As such "legitimacy" is not longer an issue, so attacking them in the place of refuting the evidence is a classic form of Ad Hominem. As such your own bias is showing.
OTC - March 14, 2015, 6:32 pm
"It's not an attack on someone's character to call a website a sham." Omit the "not" & put the period after character
Dwydwyyr - March 14, 2015, 6:24 pm
-but it would be circular logic, Ron, for you to suggest that someone has committed "an ad hominem logical fallacy" against these websites that their claim is therefore true. On logic, you're winging it - poorly.
Dwydwyyr - March 14, 2015, 6:21 pm
Instead of presenting credible evidence, you try and make it appear credible by using Latin words (incorrectly). It's not an attack on someone's character to call a website a sham. Perhaps they are calling into question the legitimacy of those websites
calron - March 14, 2015, 4:51 pm
So you still dismissing facts that you do not like by launching Ad Hominem against those that bring them up.
fauxnews - March 12, 2015, 3:50 pm

Or Sen. John Kerry and Sen Tom Harkin met with communist Sandinista leaders in Nicaragua in the 80’s might be illegal or go against the “legally articulated limits on Congress’ role in foreign policy”?

fauxnews - March 11, 2015, 7:22 pm
Nope,if Dems did this the GOP would be screaming for their heads, crying "Treason!" And it would be dishonest to suggest otherwise.Just like when they complain that veterans should be respected.Until it's someone like J.Kerry, then it's OK to attack them.
